A Nation in the Shadow of Judgement

A Nation in the Shadow of Judgement

This sermon explores the question, “Where is America in Bible prophecy?” and presents the argument that the United States is identified in Scripture with the ships of Chittim and the young lions of Tarshish. Drawing from passages in Psalms, Numbers, Daniel, Ezekiel, Isaiah, and Psalm 72, the message traces a prophetic pattern of western maritime power, national pride, moral decline, divine judgment, and the coming “east wind” of God’s sovereign correction. Along the way, the sermon calls believers to wake up spiritually, stop placing their ultimate hope in the permanence of America, and anchor their confidence in Christ alone. Though the message is sobering in its warnings about judgment, it also ends with hope, pointing to God’s faithfulness, the survival of a remnant, and the future reign of Jesus Christ.
