This sermon examines Revelation 17 and 18 and presents the view that “Mystery Babylon” may refer specifically to New York City rather than the United States as a whole. Drawing connections between the biblical description of Babylon’s wealth, influence, idolatry, commerce, and sudden judgment and New York’s global economic importance, he considers how the fall of such a city could affect the entire nation and even the world.
The message also emphasizes the need for both spiritual and practical preparedness. Listeners are encouraged to study Scripture, pray, depend on God, build strong Christian community, and be prepared for times of economic or social disruption. Above all, the sermon urges believers to take the warnings of Revelation seriously and to remain watchful and ready.
