This message examines widely shared remarks from President Trump about “getting into heaven” to clarify the true gospel and call the church to prayer. Using Scripture, we affirm that no one earns heaven by peace deals, good deeds, or public service (Isa. 64:6; Gal. 2:16; Titus 3:5). Jesus taught that we must be born again (John 3:3) and that He alone is the way to the Father (John 14:6). Believers can know they have eternal life (1 John 5:13), not by a “totem pole” of works, but by confessing Christ and trusting His finished work (Rom. 10:9–13). We also consider how unsaved leaders—however well-intentioned—can unwittingly advance end-times conditions of “peace and safety” (1 Thess. 5:3) amid spiritual warfare in high places (Eph. 6:12). The charge to the church is threefold: preach the simple, saving gospel clearly; pray earnestly for those in authority and for President Trump’s salvation (1 Tim. 2:1–4); and live watchfully as the stage is set for the Lord’s return (Matt. 24:33). No ladder, no points—only Jesus.
