In this study from Matthew 9, Mark 2, and Luke 5, we see Jesus demonstrate His divine authority by forgiving sins and healing the paralyzed man brought to Him by faithful friends. The lesson also examines the calling of Matthew, Christ’s willingness to receive sinners, and His teaching on fasting and the new life He brings. Together, these events reveal both the authority of Christ and the proper response to Him: faith, repentance, and discipleship.
