Jesus Christ was rejected in His hometown of Nazareth, yet He did not become discouraged or abandon His mission. He continued to Capernaum, preached the Word of God with authority, and brought light to those living in darkness. In this lesson, we learn from Christ’s gracious words, His faithfulness in the face of opposition, and His call to Peter, Andrew, James, and John to become fishers of men. Believers are encouraged to obey God’s Word, remain faithful when others reject the truth, and follow Christ wherever He leads.
