The Ships that will Perish

The Ships that will Perish

This sermon continues the series on America in Bible prophecy by focusing on the biblical term Chittim and tracing its development through Scripture and history. Beginning in Genesis and moving through Numbers, Daniel, the intertestamental period, Rome, and the Dead Sea Scrolls, the message argues that Chittim becomes a prophetic name for the dominant Western military power of each age, ultimately pointing to the United States. The sermon presents America as the latest expression of that western maritime power and warns that, like the empires before it, it stands under God’s judgment if it follows the same path of pride, corruption, and rebellion. At the same time, the message offers hope by distinguishing between the empire and the faithful remnant, calling believers to separate their trust from national power and place their hope fully in Christ.
